One way to support our work is to insure your pet with RSPCA Pet Insurance. We receive fifteen pounds for every accepted application.
All of England and Wales is covered by the RSPCA's network of local branches. However, some branches may be able to provide very limited services due to lack of funds and volunteers. The following list shows the branches in our own region (East).
If you are interested in volunteering for the RSPCA and no contact information for your area is shown in the list it is very likely that the local branch is in desperate need of helpers. You can register an interest in helping via the national website as the national society maintains contact details for all branches including ones which have not been able to form a proper management committee due to lack of volunteers.
Lost and found dogs: Dogs have a special position in law which means that responsibility for healthy strays rests with the local authority and we are not allowed to take them in directly. If you find a stray dog which is not in need of immediate veterinary attention, you should contact your local dog warden for help. This page shows a complete list of contact numbers for dog wardens throughout the country.
If you find an injured or sick dog, our control centre should be able to help. Their number is 0300 1234 999. There is a menu system and you will need to select the options for an animal in need of immediate help as this will put your call in the priority queue.
